South African Schools
Whether your school is in Khayelitsha or Constantia, we place qualified, vetted teachers across every tier of the South African schooling system — free for those who cannot afford it, fee-paying for those who can.
School Classification
South African schools are classified by the Department of Basic Education into quintiles based on the socioeconomic status of surrounding communities. Our fee model follows this classification directly.
Pro Bono Programme
No school should go without a qualified teacher because they cannot afford a recruitment fee. Our pro bono programme exists to change that — and it is funded by the schools that can afford it.
Any school classified as a Quintile 1, 2, or 3 institution by the Department of Basic Education is eligible for Eduplace's pro bono recruitment service.
We ask only that you share your EMIS number and a brief outline of the role you need filled. Our team handles the rest.
Apply for a Free Placement →Private & Independent Schools
When your school partners with Eduplace, you get access to a thoroughly vetted pool of qualified SA teachers — and your recruitment fee directly funds placements at schools that cannot afford them.
Every candidate completes CV review, Loom video interview, in-person interview, and full reference checks before reaching your desk.
We maintain a live shortlist of candidates ready to place — typical turnaround from vacancy to shortlist is 5–10 working days.
We match on subject specialisation, grade range, curriculum experience, and cultural fit — not just availability.
Every placement you make subsidises a free placement at a Quintile 1 or 2 school. We report this impact to you annually.
Process
We handle the sourcing, vetting, and coordination. You review shortlisted candidates and confirm your choice.
Whether your school qualifies for a free placement or you're partnering with us as a fee-paying school, the first step is the same.
